Canaan Avalon Q - 90 TH/s Bitcoin Miner

The Avalon Q is Canaan's attempt at putting data-centre hashrate into something a person can own. 90 TH/s at roughly 800 W is an efficiency figure that was not available to home operators two generations ago.

It is still a large appliance that produces 800 W of heat continuously and needs real airflow. Treat placement as a decision, not an afterthought, and confirm the circuit can carry it alongside whatever else is on that breaker.

At a glance

• Roughly 90 TH/s, SHA-256
• About 800 W at the wall

Safety and intended use

This is specialised computing hardware for hobbyist and enthusiast use. It generates continuous heat and requires unobstructed ventilation, a suitable electrical supply and a stable surface clear of flammable material. It is not a household appliance and is not intended for use by children. Confirm that your circuit can carry the load continuously before installing, and never obstruct the intake or exhaust.

Mining hardware is sold as equipment only. Network output depends on factors outside our control — network difficulty, pool selection, firmware configuration, ambient temperature and your electricity tariff — and we make no representation about financial returns of any kind. Please read our Risk Disclosure before purchasing.
