Every piece of hardware we sell carries a 12-month limited warranty from the date of delivery. This page explains what it covers, what it does not, and how to make a claim. It sits alongside — and does not replace — your rights under our Refund Policy or applicable consumer law.
Summary
- 12 months from delivery, on all mining and DePIN hardware.
- Covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
- We repair, replace, or refund — our choice, based on what is available and practical.
- Installing custom firmware does not automatically void it.
- Damage from unsuitable power supply, obstructed airflow, liquid, impact or misuse is not covered.
1. What is covered
We warrant that hardware bought from BitaxeDeploy will be free from defects in materials and workmanship, under normal use and in line with the manufacturer's published specifications, for 12 months from the date of delivery.
Typical covered failures include:
- ASIC chips or hashboards that fail or degrade below specification without external cause;
- Control boards that stop booting or lose network connectivity through internal fault;
- Fans, pumps and cooling assemblies that fail within the period;
- Supplied power supplies that fail;
- Displays, connectors and ports that fail through internal fault;
- Manufacturing faults in the enclosure or assembly.
2. What is not covered
- Unsuitable electrical supply — surges, brownouts, incorrect voltage, or use of a power supply other than the one supplied or specified.
- Obstructed or inadequate ventilation, operation in excessive ambient temperature, or heavy dust accumulation that has not been cleaned.
- Liquid ingress, physical impact, drops, or transport damage after delivery.
- Operation outside the manufacturer's published electrical or thermal limits — see the firmware section below.
- Unauthorised physical modification, including removing or replacing heatsinks, re-soldering, or altering power delivery.
- Normal wear — fan bearing noise with age, thermal paste degradation, cosmetic marks.
- Consumables and accessories such as thermal paste and cleaning tools.
- Declining output caused by rising network difficulty. This is how the networks work, not a hardware fault.
- Third-party network changes — a DePIN network altering or ending its programme is not a hardware defect.
- Hardware bought from anyone other than BitaxeDeploy.
3. Firmware, overclocking and tuning
These machines are designed to be configurable, and most of our customers flash alternative or open-source firmware. Doing so does not automatically void this warranty.
What is not covered is damage caused by running hardware outside the manufacturer's published electrical or thermal limits — for example sustained operation at voltages or temperatures above the rated maximum. The distinction is cause, not configuration: a board that fails while running stock clocks on custom firmware is covered; a board cooked by sustained over-voltage is not.
When you make a claim, please tell us what firmware and settings the machine was running. This helps us diagnose the fault and does not by itself disqualify the claim. Our overclocking kit is sold precisely so that higher clocks can be run with adequate power and cooling; please still check the manufacturer's limits for your specific machine.
4. How to make a claim
- Email customercare@bitaxedeploy.com with your order number, the serial number if visible, a description of the fault, and photographs or a short video.
- Tell us what firmware and settings it was running, and roughly how long it had been in service.
- We will reply within 1 business day. Many faults are resolved remotely — a firmware reflash, a power supply swap, a cooling check — without returning anything.
- If the unit needs to come back, we issue an RMA number and the return address.
- Pack it securely, ideally in its original packaging, with the RMA number on the outside.
Please do not ship anything back before you have an RMA number; unidentified parcels cannot be matched to an order.
5. Shipping costs on a warranty claim
| Months 1–3 | We pay shipping both ways. A prepaid label is provided. |
|---|---|
| Months 4–12 | You pay to send it to us; we pay to send the repaired or replacement unit back. |
| No fault found | If the unit tests within specification, we return it at your cost and explain what we found. |
6. What we will do
Once we have the unit we assess it within 5 business days and choose, at our discretion, to:
- Repair it and return it to you;
- Replace it with the same model, or a comparable one if the model is discontinued;
- Refund it, where repair and replacement are both impractical.
Refunds on warranty claims after the first 90 days may be pro-rated against the time the hardware was in service. We will always tell you the figure and the reasoning before processing it.
Repaired or replaced hardware carries the remainder of the original 12-month period, or 90 days from the return, whichever is longer.
7. Turnaround
Most claims are resolved within 10 to 15 business days of the unit reaching us. Where a part has to come from the manufacturer it can take longer, and we will tell you if that applies and keep you updated rather than leaving you to chase.
8. Manufacturer warranties
Some manufacturers operate their own warranty or RMA programmes in addition to this one. Where that is the case, you may claim through us or directly with them. Claiming through us is usually simpler, and we will handle the manufacturer side on your behalf.
Harlo hardware ships with Harlo OS, which includes three months of the manufacturer's own RMA cover. That runs alongside this 12-month warranty rather than instead of it.
9. Transferability
This warranty covers the original purchaser and is not transferable on resale. Proof of purchase from BitaxeDeploy is required for any claim.
10. Limitations
This warranty is limited to repair, replacement or refund of the hardware as described above. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from a hardware failure — including lost mining output, lost network rewards, electricity consumed, or downtime. See clause 13 of our Terms of Service.
Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have others that vary by state.
