The Gamma 602 is the entry point to the Bitaxe platform. One BM1370 chip, one small fan, roughly 32 W at the wall - quiet enough to sit on a desk in a room you actually use, and cheap enough to run continuously without thinking about the electricity bill.
It is a learning machine as much as a mining machine. The firmware is open, the web dashboard shows you exactly what the chip is doing, and you can point it at a pool or at your own node. Many people buy one to understand how the protocol works before deciding whether to scale up.
